Inspired by the ‘grindhouse’ aesthetic, I created a poster for this online t-shirt store
Who would’ve thought that buying a t-shirt could lead to paid work?
After purchasing one of the film-inspired t-shirts from their online shop, I was contacted by Wake Up Time To Die, who had seen my portfolio. They were after some imagery they could use to promote their brand and wanted something that looked like an old B-movie poster. Using some heavily manipulated stock photography and a landscape orientation so that the image could be easily used online if need be, I put together this little homage to a beloved part of cinematic history that represented the playfulness of the brand.
I’ve also uploaded a larger version.
