After offering a tease a few months ago, I’m very pleased to say that Countdone — my first ever iOS app — is now available to buy in the App Store for a mere sixty-nine of your English pence!

At some point I’m going to blog about the entire process, but in the meantime I’ve made a (very unprofessional) video to show you the main parts of the app:

(The video’s soundtrack is a preview of one of my new songs, by the way.)

In case you’re wondering what exactly Countdone is, it’s essentially the essence of the Pomodoro Technique, distilled into a beautifully simple interface. Set time limits for your to-dos and watch as the timer counts down and the screen turns from green to red, motivating you to get things done by applying a gentle amount of pressure. For added motivation, turn on the optional sounds for a further indication of how much time you have left and hit that ‘done’ button as fast as you can!

So, head on over to the App Store to get the app, and if you like it, please leave us a nice review! We’ve also got a page for Countdone on the brand new Viewport Industries site.

I am a huge fan of all things EJS and this new app is no different. It makes getting stuff done fun. Love challenging myself… and I suck at estimations.

    Hey bud,

Curious to know which productivity methodologies/techniques you’ve adopted, and the tools you’re using with them (if any)?

    Yours hopefully,
