8 Faces: very, very soon

I realise it’s been quite a while since I announced the coming of my magazine project 8 Faces, and I thought it was time to post a quick update. It’s taken a long while to come together (which is inevitable for a side project that only receives the odd week here and there) but the wait is almost over: it’s being printed as we speak and will be released in around two weeks from now.
I haven’t got an exact date yet because I’m still sorting out a few logistical things with the printer, like packaging materials and shipping costs. However, once all that has been finalised, you’ll hear about it first here (or if you follow me on Twitter).
In the meantime, and to prove that this is actually happening, here are a few photos of the final proof:
We’re only pressing 1000 copies — all individually numbered, printed with foil stamping on thick, uncoated stock — so if you’d like to get your hands on one, please be sure to register your interest via the link on the 8 Faces website.

Elliot the magazine looks absolutely beautiful, I am really surprised how good as I have recently stopped all my other design magazine subscriptions due to the fact they were dull, full of the same old and not very well designed.

Elliot, congratulations on getting your initial idea of 8faces up, off the ground & into production. Judging from the photos, the quality of the magazine & the stock is immense. Looking forward to getting my grubby mits on a copy, however I wouldn’t want to dirty the stock!

Elliot, I really cannot wait bro. What an excellent job you all have done. In my estimation, the web has only replaced areas of print that should never had seen the light of day, but great pieces like this will always find a home in physicality.

The cover looks brilliant. The idea of the faces in the inner loop of “8” is too brilliant. Very great typeface for the lettering. Curious as to which typeface it is?

This looks like a fantastic magazine and I hope to get a read of it if you send through a copy. I run a magazine myself and always like when I get it printed (which is rare nowadays thanks to the internet) but hopefully you’ll love your creation as I do mine.
